Government and Military Certification Systems, Inc is a woman-owned small business serving organizations worldwide. All of our auditors are certified by the International Registry of Certificated Auditors or Exemplar Global.
GMCS was founded with the goal of providing high quality third-party, independent certification services for government, military, and the private sector companies that serve these entities. Our company maintains GSA Professional Services Schedule under contract #47QRAA18D002C.
GMCS is accredited by the International Accreditation Service (IAS). IAS is a nonprofit, public-benefit corporation that has been providing accreditation services since 1975. It is a member of Asia-Pacific Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (APLAC), International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC), International Accreditation Forum (IAF), and Pacific Accreditation Cooperation (PAC). The scope of IAS’s membership in the IAF includes management system certification.
Our clients include the US Departments of Defense including the Army, Marines, and Navy, as well as Commerce, State, Health and Human Services, Veterans Affairs, Agriculture and Energy.
Government and Military Certification Systems recognizes that a commitment to third -party registration quality and reporting is a key element of our success. GMCS is committed to comply with customer, statutory, and regulatory requirements including those specified in our Quality Manual and in our ISO 17021 Manual.
This commitment includes continually improving the effectiveness of the GMCS quality management system.
To ensure that its stakeholders and customers are satisfied with the quality of the third-party certification services, GMCS will:
- Establish measurable quality objectives relating to timeliness, completeness, and accuracy for each audit report issued.
- Monitor and measure these quality objectives and report the results to top management for the purpose of continual improvement.
- Ensure that all GMCS employees affecting the quality objectives are aware of their role achieving those objectives.
- Provide sufficient training to all GMCS staff affecting the quality objectives including training on the requirements of this manual.
GMCS and its top management understand the importance of and are committed to maintaining impartiality in carrying out its management system certification activities. As part of its impartiality process, GMCS requires that each auditor and each member of the Certification Committee attest to impartiality and certify that they have no Conflicts of Interest as they undertake any audit or review any client for certification.
Our top management is fully committed to ensuring that certificates of registration issued to our clients are free from any lack of impartiality and conflicts of interest. In the event that there is any threat or perceived threat to impartiality or a potential conflict of interest, GMCS will document and record the analysis of such incidences and is able to demonstrate how it eliminated or minimized such threats. In the event that such a threat cannot be eliminated or minimized, GMCS does not provide certification services to that client.
